Final Year Mechatronics Engineering Student

About Me.
I am a final year Mechatronics Student. I am a diligent and hardworking individual, who is highly motivated to succeed.
I believe engineering should be used as a force for good, whether it be in a small way or on a global scale.
My Story
I began my engineering journey studying Mechanical Engineering. However, throughout the course of my first year at university I realised that my interests lay more in the electrical side of engineering. I made the choice to change my major to Mechatronics Engineering after my first year, which extended my degree by a year, however it allowed me to truly study what I loved.
Throughout my time at university, I have been exposed to various aspects of engineering. I found a love for electronic design in my third year Design Principles course; learnt to appreciate the challenge of designing a digital controller design in my fourth year Controls and Instrumentation course; and developed a passion for engineering's unique role in sustainability and environmentalism.
Outside of university, I pursue various other interests and hobbies. I love to bake sweet and savoury treats to share with loved ones. I also make time for crocheting and reading, which are two things that help to distract me when work is very busy. I also place great importance on spending quality time with friends, and do this by hiking, eating out and going to the cinema.
